Book Sales and Veggie Burgers

Seems like I’m always apologizing for going too long between posts, doesn’t it? You’d think I’d learn my lesson. My excuse is that I’ve been writing lots… and experimenting with veggie burgers, and learning how to quilt. I’ve got some good news for bibliophiles: Wake is now available on all ebook retailers for just 99 cents. I’m [...]

Mars Bar Cookies! (and books)

Yesterday I spent my afternoon making Mars bar cookies. My grandma used to make these for all the grandkids, and we’d go nuts for them. Last year I made a batch with my sister, and I really can’t explain why i haven’t done it again since –it’s such an easy recipe, and so delicious. I [...]

Wake is now available in paperback

The new proof copy of Wake is here! It’s a little thinner than its previous edition (yay for reduced neck and shoulder strain!). I managed to cut it down by over 100 pages just by altering a few details during production. Things that I spent days trying to accomplish using conventional word processors were so [...]

iBooks Expansion to New Zealand and Latin America

Good news! iBooks has expanded its distribution to New Zealand and pretty much all of South America. This is great  if you’re interested in buying ebooks (like Wake… cough) but don’t want to be tied down to Amazon and mobi. Happy reading!

A firsthand look

The most interesting thing that happened to me this week was that I got to see firsthand what my book does to people firsthand. My boss bought a copy of Wake and pretty soon our lunchtime chats were about character analysis, playlists, and what the characters would look like (apparently Willa looks like Kat Dennings; not my [...]

Changing Printers and Eating Cookie Dough

I know you all clicked on the link because of the cookie dough thing, so let’s start with that. Earlier this week I made eggless cookie dough for a dessert snack. You can bake it, but the point of making it eggless is to eat it raw and pretend to be a kid again. I found [...]

I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t blog enough

It’s been almost a month since I updated my blog, which is way too long to go between posts. In large part this is because I don’t like talking about myself and much of my personal life — my book review blog is very active, see, because I don’t make it personal. The problem is that to [...]

Wake is now available for Kobo

Good news: Wake is now available in the Kobo store. If you’ve been waiting to get a copy for your epub-compatible device, now you can. I’ll make another announcement when the book is listed with Barnes & Noble and the Sony Reader Store (should happen before the end of June). As always, the book is [...]

Indie April Interview and Giveaway

I’m giving away a Kindle copy of Wake on Tina’s Book Reviews this month. She’s running an Indie April feature, spotlighting independent and self-published authors. To enter, leave a comment on the post by the end of the month. Lots of books are up for grabs (see all the posts in the Indie April feature). [...]

Guest Post and Giveaway on Good Choice Reading

This month the ladies over at Good Choice Reading were kind enough to host my guest post about New Adult literature. As part of the feature they’re helping me give away a paperback copy of Wake (U.S. only) or a Kindle copy (international). The contest ends one week today. Entering is simple, all you need [...]
